Notre Dame’s Class of 2008 voted to make the inaugural gift to the EcoFund, a new fund established to advance environmentally responsible and sustainable practices at Notre Dame.
Their gift will impact the following initiatives:
Installing compact fluorescent light bulbs and occupancy senors in common areas or setting temperature limits in buildings
Testing rain-gauge sprinklers, utilizing motion-activating sinks, and installing low-flow faucets, showerheads, and toilets
Maintaining native plants in campus landscaping and composting food waste at the dining halls.
Expanding day-to-day recycling efforts by installing permanent outdoor recycling containers and establishing recycling programs for home football games
Members of the senior class or others can contribute to the EcoFund by visiting http://donate.nd.edu.
