GreeND and the Student Forum Committee for the 2008 Notre Dame Forum will host the Symposium of Undergraduate Research on Green Energy (SURGE) on Wednesday,
October 1 at 6 pm in the Hesburgh Center for International Studies. Expanding on this year’s Forum topic of Charting a Sustainable Energy Future, SURGE will
showcase the current energy-related research being done at Notre Dame, as well as provide an opportunity for those inspired by the Forum to explore starting
points for their own research.
All undergraduate students who have done or are currently doing research on energy-related issues are encouraged to participate. Presentation topics will
not be limited to science and engineering, but will cover all issues relating to energy and sustainability, from energy economics, policy, and ethics to
conservation, sustainable development, and energy technology. Students are invited to present either a 15-minute oral presentation or a poster
presentation on their research.
